The Royal Albert Hall is a concert hall on the northern edge of South Kensington, London, which holds the Proms concerts annually each summer. We have a wide variety of family events throughout the year and we also hold a special series of events for older family members. Everyone is welcome!
The world’s leading figures in music, dance, sport and politics have appeared on our stage since we opened in 1871, and now over 1.7 million people enjoy live experiences here every year, with millions more experiencing our events through broadcasts, recordings and new media channels. Our iconic venue is open to the public during the day through tours of the building, live music in Verdi, and free exhibitions, and is home to the Elgar Room, a state-of-the art small-scale performance space.

Our family-friendly offer
We want the whole family to enjoy their visit to the Royal Albert Hall.
There are restaurants, cafés and bars available throughout the building. The Café Bar and Verdi – Italian Kitchen are open throughout the day and offer children’s options. We are happy to heat up baby milk in the Café Bar during opening hours – please speak to a member of café staff who can help. High chairs are available. Verdi, our child-friendly Italian restaurant, is open before and after each show and has food options for all the family. The children’s menu includes delicious pasta, with tomato or bolognaise sauce, and pizzas in the shape of bunnies, plus colouring kits and ice-cream for afters.
Our venue is fully accessible for buggies. Baby changing facilities are available in our accessible toilets.
We aim to make your visit to the Hall as comfortable as possible. Please browse the accessibility pages to find out more about our services and facilities.
