Wild Rumpus

Wild Rumpus CIC is a social enterprise producing large scale outdoor family arts events, most often in wild natural landscapes. Wild Rumpus believes that when families engage together in the highest quality arts in the great outdoors, something quite amazing can happen.

Wild Rumpus produces extraordinary worlds, taking families out of their day to day lives into magical and enchanting places which can inspire, create moments of wonder and have a lasting impact.

Wild Rumpus also provides the environment where families can immerse themselves in incredible stories and believe that families deserve access to the highest quality art.

Alongside producing large-scale events, Wild Rumpus works with performers, producers and programmers to shape a cultural environment where excellent outdoor work for families thrives.

As a not-for-profit community interest company, all of Wild Rumpus’s profit goes back into its arts programmes, developed to support emerging artists, create pioneering schemes for volunteers, and host creative adventures for marvellous families of all shapes and sizes.

Our family-friendly offer

Wild Rumpus produced the award-winning Just So Festival, a boutique, weekend-long festival of creativity aimed at children, young people and their families and Timber, a festival of music, arts and ideas inspired by forests.

Wild Rumpus also manages the Northern Festivals Network.

At Wild Rumpus, we work hard to ensure that our events, projects and programmes are as accessible to as many people as possible. Removing barriers to access, for customers, volunteers, artists and collaborators is an important part of our ethos.
