- 01 May 2020
There’s lots of family friendly events online (and lots of 'F's in the title of this!) but sometimes it can be a challenge to find them. To lend a hand, we’ve rounded up our Top Five Family Friendly Online Events going on throughout May. Have a boogie, get busy with arts and crafts or just sit back and watch some theatre - take your pick!

Sadler’s Wells is expanding ‘Take Part’, its series of projects available to the wider community, by presenting a series of online workshops and activities for audiences to dance along to in their own homes. Commotion Club Online
Commotion Club is an online creative club for toddlers and parents, presenting activities throughout the week to keep those little bodies and imaginations active while we all stay home. Sessions include creative dance using props found in the home, sing and sign sessions and original story telling. Perfect for ages 1-6 years old. Read more here.
Mushy: Lyrically Speaking
Watford Palace and Rifco Theatre Company present an uplifting tale inspired by the true story of Musharaf Asghar from the 2013 programme Educating Yorkshire. Mushy, a young man with a debilitating stammer, finds himself at the centre of a television documentary. In a moment of inspiration from his teacher, Mr. Burton, he starts to find a rhythm in his voice through music. Social media erupts hailing it a miracle cure and both teacher and pupil become overnight celebrities. But Mushy's journey to find his voice has only just begun! This production is great for ages 8-16 years old, find out more here.
Family Art Club
As part of our Poplar Union’s new Virtual Programme, their Art Tutor, Paolo, will be sharing a brand new arts & crafts video tutorial each week on Poplar Union's Facebook page ✂️
Follow along with their newly posted video tutorial at 2pm on Tuesdays, and make something beautiful to put a smile on the whole family's face 😊 These easy craft ideas can be created using only objects found at home! Read more here.
