Learn to play the ukulele! This course is perfect for children from age 5 right through to adults!

Children's songwriter and performer Al Start has taught the ukulele to children, young people and adults for over 12 years in schools, clubs and one-to-one. This online club features Al's tried and tested technique that makes learning a new instrument brilliant fun!

Al will have you playing whole songs from lesson one with just one finger! Learn how to hold, tune and strum your ukulele, gradually learn to play a collection of child-friendly songs and tunes that are current and not babyish! No "Ring of Fire" or ye olde American folk songs, just great songs your children will already be familiar with and some cool new ones they will love to play and sing along with.

Follow the link to see the whole song selection and try some free sessions - once you start uking you will be hooked, and so will your kids! Makes a great activity to share with your children and spend quality time together. The short engaging video tutorials enable children to learn and practice independently too - Al will do the teaching for you - perfect for lockdown learning!

We have two clubs for you to choose from: Beginners takes you from total novice to cool strummer and Intermediate carries on with another collection of 14 songs to develop your skills and broaden your repertoire - by the end of both courses you'll be able to play over 25 popular songs and tunes and be the heart and soul of any campfire party!

The ukulele is really easy to learn and is great for little fingers! With just 4 strings and a small body you can get really fast results, making it brilliant fun for children and adults alike.

You don't need any experience or musical aptitude - I'll teach you all that!

Plus if you don't already have one, you can buy a ukulele for under £29 making it the most affordable instrument to learn! (I recommend this Mahalo with Aquila strings and a gig bag https://www.fruugo.co.uk/mahalo-2511-mr1-rainbow-soprano-ukulele-with-gig-bag-available-in-black-purple-red-pink-light-blue-orange-yellow-green-white-dark-blue/p-19255077-42346935?language=en)
